He Speaks

******* The POTUS took to the Air this evening in the wake of rising criticism over a continuous parade of ineptitude, inaction & failure as both Government and the Private sector attempt to contain the huge BP Oil leak now in day 54. All in All despite the cliches and platitudes as is the norm it was a Good speech - and the bottom line is that despite the huge mounting costs this Administration is going to try to push a Green Agenda on this Nation and put a crimp in another portion of the Big Capitalist structure. In short Obama not to be underestimated does see some gain in this disaster - provided the Right Enemies are identified and as usual the MSM will play along. Thje coverage of Henry Waxman's Dog & Pony Show today is proof of this.

****** Many like myself have long advocated a steady but slow break away from Mid East oil dependency , but have cautioned about any reckless efforts to tap domestic oil which will NEVER make up the Nation's needs. We do need a different outlook from Detroit and a heavy reconsideration of Nuclear energy such as what France currently has.

******* Obviously post 9/11 WAS the time for this and it WAS an opportunity squandered by GWB - but he was an Oil Man - as was his Father and this outlook in 1990 was the hinge in going into the First Gulf War over Kuwait. Most Industrial Nations concluded it was just TOO Risky to allow Saddam Hussein to be that close to the full treasures of the region.

******** Much of our population is beyond sacrifice - even the consideration of any sacrifice. They WILL vote against anyone specifically proposing it, and the hypocrisy is massive - and in this climate some Corporate greed and cost cutting would naturally develop. The sheer Law of average's would conclude that with heavy offshore drilling that a Big accident was an inevitability and that some would minimize the facts.

***** What Obama and Crew are frustrated about is the Government alone cannot deal with this. If it could BP would be sitting to the side and getting their Lawyers ready, but alas Life is not so simple.

******** Possibly BP and others should be prevented from any outlandish Lobbying efforts such as Entertainment at Political Conventions, Political friendly travel & Employment possibilities for relatives of those in office. However that might require Honesty & Ethics and in D.C. where no recession has hit anytime lately it would be scoffed at. You see the Political Class has evolved from simply being bribeable to essentially being extortionist and this IS exactly where we are headed in the wake of this disaster.

****** Obama while mainly worried about his current imagery does know that the public is fickle . His numbers can bounce back in a week possibly, and his view of the Private sector - even the Greedy International corporations should at least now be well known. I'm sorry to say that Barry just might come out ahead over this - even if the Gulf region is shattered.

According to all the news today PC you might be wrong in some of these statements. Even his solid news stables have asked what he wasted his time fro last night. Oberman was even very negative and that is a first.

***** I think they expected him to go "Full Throttle" against Big Oil and are disappointed. He knows that he must be cautious and walk a fine line because he still needs the expertise of the Oil Men. However he might see a Silver Lining others presently are missing. More importantly he Will Never lose the support of Guys like Olberman.

BP was a very big contributor to the Obama campaign (over $900 G's).They are big supporters of Obama's national healthcare agenda and very big promotors for cap and trade. Bp is buying their way around Washington in order to position themselves as energy brokers under the cap and trade carnival. They can afford to spend twenty billion on clean up if they can control energy futures. Isn't that the definition of Fascism? Elitists lead by an ego maniac buying his power from the populace with socialist handouts in alliance with powerful corporations. Shocked Mad

Whenever there is a crisis this POTUS burys his head in the sand for as long as possible in hopes it will go away,or someone else will fix it. All the while he watches the polls. When it is then up to him to do something,he does as little as possible to take the heat off & then points fingers at others to exploit the crisis to advance his agenda. I for one am sick of it.

He has two side. One the Carter side...he is incapable of making a decision on his own & must form committes etc. to do it for him.

Day 58 of the BP crisis & then he calls in the CEO. Counting days on the news reminds me of another crisis during the Carter term.

Then there is the Clinton side..blame everyone else, especially those on the right & never ever admit you were wrong or hold your people accountable.

**** All his Millions of Friends & Contacts on his Facebook account however think different. To them he is the personification of America. No matter what shape the economy is in , or any ongoing scandal they will stand with him. He's more interested in 2012 than in any current matter.
